An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Kermit Scott. [edit] Italian Argentines
Scanlan:
I regret having to meet uner these circumstances, but what you saw happen to the Renata Fronzi article, where this Hubschrauber729 blindly deleted her Italian origin category link, has been ongoing for the past week, and in almost all similar bios, systematically.
This user has done this to other groups, but no one really does anything about it. Well, I am.
I've flagged disruptive types on Wikipedia before, because while most of us enjoy this as a quiet, useful hobby where (God forbid) we might learn and share something, some just log on to take their bile ad venom out on others. On point of fact, this one's imposing his preference that the subjects' obviously Italian heritage not be included (deleting, also, in-paragraph mentions of it !), and with no consensus.
So, that's what's going on with that, and well, hopefully, he'll be blocked, or even banned (a lot of Turkish editors would appreciate that, for instance). I say this not as much because of the Italians, as because I've wasted hours on this, where I could've been translating articles, written new ones from scratch, or just been doing something else with my time.
Thanks, and I look forward to chatting under happier auspices.
Yours,
Sherlock4000 (talk) 21:56, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Bonaire referendum
March is as likely a date as any, but my information is that no precise date has been set and no precise wording has been determined. The party in favor of integration took two seats yesterday, and the party against only took one. My personal bet is that the referendum will never occur.—Kww(talk) 23:38, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
- My information comes from IM and e-mail with friends. That's why I haven't added things to articles: no reliable sourcing.—Kww(talk) 23:44, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
- http://www.nu.nl/algemeen/2168623/regeringspartij-par-wint-curaao.html is in Dutch, I'm afraid, but confirms 2 seats for UPB, 1 for ADP, viewed as a setback for the pro-referendum forces. It speaks of the current Bonaire coalition (of the ADP and the LPK) having a desire to organize a referendum, not of a referendum actually having been scheduled.—Kww(talk) 23:42, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit] You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 21:41, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed deletion of María Ester Gatti
The article María Ester Gatti has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Lacks references, only ones are of her death
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rusted AutoParts 15:34, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Watch list flooding
In about one hour you added almost 70 entries to my watch list, and I suspect this may not be the end of it. They are all poorly categorized stubs on Nigerian state governors that I started when I was on a roll trying to make entries for all of them for some reason. This is embarrassing. Never mind. Keep up the good work! Thanks, Aymatth2 (talk) 01:03, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Babatunde Elegbede
I saw you rated this article as start class. I agree: it is a bit more than a stub but not a lot. I quite often start "Who's Who" entries like this giving a basic biographical outline of someone who has some level of notability. It seems to me that a subject may often deserve a cursory article that just gives the basic facts. Rating an article as "start" - or as "stub" for that matter - somehow implies that more should be added. Maybe there should be some sort of rating that implies "good enough". The article on a person, book, movie, place, whatever, gives adequate coverage given the relative importance of the subject. Thoughts? Aymatth2 (talk) 00:55, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- I am getting mixed up - it happens. That was another editor. But comments would be welcome. Aymatth2 (talk) 01:34, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Nicholas Selby death date
You are the creator of that page, so I offer the the suggestion that you make corrections, rather than imposing them on you. Your citation of The Scotsman obit reads "Jon Cedar, actor, dies at 80"; that is another celebrity who died recently. There is also the matter of when Selby died. The Scotsman reported the date as April 15, 2011. However, look at his May 5th obit in The Guardian, which reported "although he died in September 2010, the news of his death emerged only last month. Nicholas (James) Ivor Selby, actor, born 13 September 1925; died 14 September 2010."
I applaud your efforts in creating pages for deceased celebrities who would not otherwise have such pages on Wikipedia.Aardvarkzz (talk) 20:58, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
