2007 – Hawaiian musician Don Ho dies of heart failure in Honolulu at the age of 76.

2005 – Singer John Fred Gourrier of John Fred and the Playboys dies of complications following a kidney transplant in New Orleans at the age of 63.
   
2003 – R&B singer Angie Stone makes her Broadway debut when she joins the cast of “Chicago.”

1999 – Singer-songwriter Anthony Newley dies from cancer in Jensen Beach, Fla., at the age of 67.

1999 – The body of Tammy Wynette is exhumed and an autopsy performed in Nashville at the request of Wynette’s widower, George Richey.

1995 – Singer Burl Ives dies of cancer in Anacortes, Wash., at the age of 85.

1983 – Pete Farndon of the Pretenders dies of a drug overdose in his home at the age of 30.
