The MS Allure of the Seas is a cruise ship that will be the sister ship to the world's largest passenger ship, the Oasis of the Seas. She was designed under the name "Project Genesis". She was ordered in February 2006. In February 2008, construction officially began.[3] In May 2008 she was named Allure of the Seas after a contest was held to name the new ship.[4] The keel of the Allure of the Seas was laid on 2 December 2008.[2]
