Kalispell woman shot in head during weekend argument

KALISPELL - A 42-year-old Kalispell woman was shot to death over the weekend and a man is in custody.

Flathead County Sheriff Mike Meehan says Michele Miller died shortly after arriving at Kalispell Regional Medical Center late Friday.

A 47-year-old man is in custody and Meehan says he expects charges to be filed soon.

Investigators say Miller got into an argument with the suspect, who was drinking. He allegedly picked up a 9 mm pistol and fired it twice. One bullet went through two neighboring apartments and was found in a third apartment, while the other hit Miller in the head.
