Celebratory Crouching or the Lipton Dip?

You decide!  While you figure it out, why not watch another hands-on demonstration of Halo 3: ODST.  This one's tackled by our own Brian Jarrard and Curtis Creamer and features a pretty good run down of what you can expect out of Halo 3: ODST in September.  Plus, it's got some teabagging jokes.  That's what we call a win/win, people.

Looks like Adam Susskind found the color control knobs.  He's also got a new episode, er...installment, of Chaos Theory ready.  If you want to read it, navigate the rainbow below and find the blue link.  If you're colorblind, Adam's got you covered, when you hover your mouse over the link, you should see your cursor change.  Have a read.

"Salutations Bungie!

This is Susskind here (again) to embrace that section of the interweb that we've all come to know and love. This week I've got the 23rd episode in the 25 episode saga of Chaos Theory, my weekly Comic Book. I hope you enjoy this episode as it's the final battle scene in the series. (*Sniff* *Sigh*) Ah well, I suppose the blood loss has to come to an end at some point. If the characters hemorrhage any longer they might just come for me in my sleep.

This wondrous episode isn't as wordy as my usual installments (I never got to use the word 'installment' until I started this comic and now I can't get enough of it. I think I might go into a coma from word overdose) so I'll avoid what Urk has dubbed my usual "wall 'o' text" this week.

Episode 23: Destructive Interference

And hey! Urk, I leave you alone with the site for two weeks and you go off and announce a new game, release not one but two trailers, AND change the background image?!? My god man, you've gone mad with power. It's almost as if you thought there were some big convention going on that would make announcing all these things worth it!

Peace out,
Adam Susskind, Writer and Producer, Chaos Theory"

Complete a challenge, win Points.

If you're looking to put your campaign skills on display for a small pile of Microsoft Points, the Halo 3 Mythbusters Community has you covered.  Read the rules below, sign up, and submit your clips.

"The folks over at the Halo 3 Mythbusters Community (well, really just myself) are holding the 5th installment of the Legendary Challenge. The Legendary Challenge is a campaign contest, where one mission is selected and the member to submit the run with the highest score wins.

This time around, the mission is Floodgate. The rules are quite simple: the run can be done on any difficulty and with any combination of skulls. The only constraints are that the run must be done solo, and the run must be done after May 31st.

I'm giving away a 1600 Microsoft Points card to the user who can get the highest score. Simple enough, eh?

Submitting a run to the contest is very simple. First, visit this thread at our forums (you'll need to register to post if you don't already have an account). Then, reply with the link to your game stats from Bungie.net."

Sign up now!

Amidst all the news of the day, why not take a break and sign up for your chance to win Recon early?  You don't need to be a professional player and you might even win prizes simply by participating.  Plus, all proceeds go to a great charity, Child's Play!

Today is the day.  If you want to sign up, now is the time.

"HUD is about to start registrations and today will be your only opportunity to sign up for a chance at one of the 15 sets of Recon as well as some of the other sweet prizes we have for you.  Remember you don't have to win in order to possibly get a prize of some kind.

Currently we still have a load of room for people to enter in all of the brackets:

76 open slots in FFA
108 open slots in BUNGLE PRO FFA
18 open slots for teams in 4v4
8 open slots for teams in Double
23 open slots for teams in BUNGLE Team 3v3
18 open slots in the Obstacle Course

Even if you don't wish to compete for fear of not winning, we highly suggest you do it anyway.  This will be a lot of fun for everyone even if they don't luck out and get first.  Remember there are three spare sets of Recon that will be going to people who do not win, but manage to do something else totally rad or cool.  Other spare prizes might also find their way into the hands of people who make an impression on us.

We will be closing sign ups come 12:00AM PST tomorrow, and if you have not signed up by then your chance is gone. So quickly head over to Facility B5D and participate in something that not only lands you some sweet prizes, but makes you feel good inside."
