Hypothesis

I believe that the horse manure will accelerate the growth of the plants.  I think the plants in the horse manure will grow more rapidly than the plants that are planted only in the garden dirt.
Purpose

I wanted  to see if manure would grow plants faster than dirt.
Materials
  • twelve nasturtiums seeds
  • two clay pots
  • water
  • pure horse manure
  • garden dirt
  • sunlight
Procedure

I have planted six nasturtiums seeds in a clay pot with garden dirt, and six nasturtiums seeds in a clay pot with only pure horse manure, no dirt.  I have watered them every two days, and have been very careful to give them all the same amount of water.  I have made sure that they have been exposed to the proper amount of sunlight as well.
Results

The seeds that I planted in regular soil grew better than the seeds that I planted in pure horse manure.

Conclusion

The nasturtiums that I planted in the garden soil grew one foot and the nasturtiums that I planted in the horse manure didnít even sprout.
