The Bureau of Corrective Action oversees cleanup of releases of regulated substances using a multi-media (air, water, soil, and ecological resources) approach. The bureau also administers the environmental response program, superfund and brownfields programs, a reimbursement fund for petroleum claims, and a certification program for environmental consultants. The certification program is designed to ensure that competent individuals are providing services and information to the businesses and citizens of the state for environmental cleanups.
