The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) signed into law by President Obama on February 17th, 2009 includes measures to modernize our nation's infrastructure, enhance energy independence, expand educational opportunities, preserve and improve affordable health care, provide tax relief, and protect those in greatest need. This website contains ARRA funding information provided by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP)


  Drinking Water State Revolving Fund:
Nevada will receive $19.5 million from EPA to help communities with drinking water infrastructure needs. These funds will provide needed support for arsenic treatment projects and other critical improvements to public water supply systems.

  Clean Water State Revolving Fund:
Nevada will receive $19.2 million from EPA to support local wastewater treatment infrastructure needs. These funds will help many communities with compliance issues to ensure safe collection and treatment of wastewater

  Water Quality Planning (CWA 604b):
Nevada will receive $194,300 from EPA to support State and local water quality planning efforts.

  Clean Diesel Program:
Nevada has received $1,730,000 through EPA's Diesel Emissions Reduction Act program. NDEP will use the funds to support replacement of older school buses with new, cleaner buses.

  Leaking Underground Storage Tank Trust program:
Nevada will receive $1,266,000 from EPA's LUST Trust Fund program. These funds will support clean-up of sites contaminated by petroleum where no viable responsible parties are available.

  Brownfields program:
Nevada intends to apply for approximately $1 million in additional funds through EPA's Brownfields SRF program. These funds can be used to site assessments and clean-up of contaminated properties to restore the property to some beneficial use.
