A long time ago...
A while back, we were out on the porch, whittlin’ with old man Errera from
Halo.Bungie.Org
and he says to us, “You know fellas, we could do a heap o’ good if we just auctioned off some Bungie stuff to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.”
“Bungie stuff, eh?” said we. “You’re right! We got a load of stuff folks would pay good money for, stuff that’s worth somethin’ and stuff with artistic merit.”
“You got Mister Chief too,” said Old Man Errera, dismissively. “You could get a buck o’ five fer one o’ them.”
“A buck o’ five?” says we. “Wonder what we could raise fer somethin’ good? Like original
Halo 2
concept artwork? Or signed illustrations from the Halo team?”
“Or
Marty
music!” piped in a voice from the kitchen, older and crustier even than Old Man Errera’s.
“Who’s that?” asked Old Man Errera.
“Some old fart,” says we.
All that whittlin’ and discussion led to this (and it’s been a long time coming):
The BLOW ME AWAY Charity Auction
