Hypothesis
We think the plants getting polluted will grow better than the plants in the clean environment.

Purpose
We  wanted to know if plants could grow better in a polluted environment so peolpe can  grow food in polluted environments to save room on the Earth.
Materials
  • sun
  • tap water
  • garden soil
  • lima beans
  • chemicals
  • oil
  • cups
  • charts to
Procedure
1.Plant the bean seeds in a cups with soil
2. Plant one bean plant in a polluted environment with polluted water, air and soil (we did this by putting non-biodegradable trash in the soil, we put oil in the water and sprayed chemicals in the air.)
3.The other bean plant gets a clean environment with clean water, air and soil (we did this by using tap water, garden soil, and clean air.)
4. While they were growing we recorded on a daily basis the growth on charts.
Results

The polluted plant grew slowly in the beginning, but it soon grew faster than the one in the clean environment.  In the end it turned out to be 1 ft.8 inches .  The plant in the clean environment grew fast at first but it soon slowed down and in the end it was 1 ft. 7 inches.

Conclusion

Our conclusion is that plants in a polluted environment grows better than the plants in a clean environment thus we have proven our hypothesis correct.
