After the feedback I got from falkenstein_sw and the testmatch from the sw2 ‘beta’ last sunday, I want to present the final SW2 version of falkenstein! The main goal of the changes was to make the map more suitable for 6on6. Falkenstein was made by 0range, I only made the stopwatch modifications -> all credit for the map goes to 0range.

Quakecon, a festival of all things iD Software has today announced two big pieces of news. Firstly a change of venue and secondly the tournaments, sadly for Wolfenstein fans this wont be their year at Quakecon.
Quakecon will move from the Hilton Anatole back to its previous home at the Gaylord Ranch in Grapevine. The venue last housed Quakecon in 2005, however successful years in the Anatole had lead many to believe they wouldnt see the former CPL Summer venue again, but today Quakecon confirmed they would be moving back to the Gaylord for reasons unspecified.
In addition to that news Quakecon today confirmed their tournament list and it will feature pro tournaments in Quakelive for both 1on1 and CTF with $25k in each discipline. Quakecon always draws the best teams and players from around the globe and already it is expected that there will be a large turnout of Quakes finest names. Alas there will be only exhibitions of Wolfenstein and iD's next title, Rage. This is most likely down to the closeness of the release dates though no reason has been announced.

If you are a passionate Quake3 or Wolfenstein Enemy Territory player, then this software will definitely help you to keep track of your demos.

Shane "rapha" Hendrixson
Daniel "Carnage" Sturdivant
Chance "chance" Lacina

The entire event will be streamed live by Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham and Rod "Slasher" Breslau with match commentary and interviews. As you may have read some days ago, the ESL Major Series IV Playoffs started this week. From Monday on the first three matches have already been played and today we are ready to finish the Upper Bracket Round 1. At 21:30 CET overload.SNB and The pin pals are facing each other and fight for last slot at the wb semi finals.
overload.SNB is coming as winner of group D into this match and wants to continue its winning streak. They could win all four matches at the group stage and are ready to make the next step today. Another win and they are close to one of the places which will end up in the money.
The opponent The pin pals has also won four matches this season. After losing against H2k-Gaming in the group stage they finished on the second place and had to play an extra match at the EMS Relegation. But they managed to beat myRevenge e.V. with 4-0 and made it also into the round of the last eight. The spanish team has nothing to lose and will give its very best to win today's match.
As mentioned before, the match will go live at 21:30 CET. And as always, GamesTV.org will be your home for full ETTV coverage:
After 19 years of independence, id Software has been acquired by the parent conpany of game publisher Bethesda Softworks, which is well known for its work on Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls series.
Bethesda Softworks is ironically enough also the publisher for Splash Damage's upcoming title Brink, which means the London based game studio is once again in close quarters with their mentors at id Software.
