When people heard Ubuntu was a yoga studio and restaurant, they might have been skeptical, but one bite of Jeremy Fox’s vegetable creations wiped away any doubt. He’s created a all-vegetable menu that has garnered loads of national press. Fox’s wife, Deanie Hickox Fox, does an equally impressive job with desserts. The airy, upscale environment befits the food, much of which comes from the restaurant’s nearby farms. Owner Sandy Lawrence’s yoga studio is visible on the mezzanine behind translucent panels framed by handsome rock walls and large windows overlooking downtown Napa.
