Die Jahre 2007 und 2008 standen im Zeichen steigender Nachfrage nach Leistungen der GTZ, steigender Umsatz- und steigender Mitarbeiterzahlen.
Mit dem aktuellen Personalbericht wird die Verzahnung von Unternehmens- und Personalstrategie in einer Reihe von Handlungsfeldern aufgezeigt, die im Wandel begriffene Personalstruktur dokumentiert und Einblicke in die Prozesse der Personalarbeit gegeben.

This comprehensive Guidebook on Sustainable Economic Development in Conflict affected Environments synthesises that work and contributes to the current international efforts, in particular of the Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED), to improve economic development approaches in these difficult conditions. It explains the challenges of working in a conflictive environment and guides development practitioners towards successful project planning, implementation and monitoring.

Steps for Action to promote gender equality

The aim of this publication is to demonstrate the value of proven methods but also to add new ones.These methods were developed as part of a system of knowledge management, built by gathering hardearned knowledge and feeding it back into the development community for further application.

Red GIRESOL: Esfuerzos locales, impactos globales. GIRESOL Network: Local efforts, global impacts

The publication gives an overview of six successful years of the RED GIRESOL seen with the eyes of the most important stakeholders in the process. It relates how the network achieved the strengthening of institutions and developed knowledge in integrated solid waste management as well as how regional, national and local networks were created. At the same time the book shows how 400 experts from five countries (Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Ecuador) could actually improve the local conditions of waste management in their communities.

Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) address global environmental challenges, and national action plans are often the means for implementation in individual countries.The instrument of national action plans is currently being debated; this report provides insight and analysis for the ongoing discussion.
