I'd have to say,"Writing? What's that?"It's been one of those months, or a couple of those months. Itstarted when my husband was informed by his publisher that hewas expected to provide an index for his forthcoming book -- ina week! We both knew that wasn't going to happen, and sinceI've indexed books before, I volunteered to tackle the job --right after I finished off a book proposal of my own.That meant explaining to my sister that my promised update ofher website was going to have to wait, but I'd get on it justas soon as I finished the index. Which I did, and my sisternow has a gorgeous new website from which to promote herstained glass studio! I'm quite proud of it -- drop on by andcheck it out at http://www.sunnybrookstudio.com (and help usout by bumping up the hit counter a bit!)Meanwhile, my husband had begun negotiating with a dealer tosell the collection of plastic knights and soldiers that heand his brother had amassed in their youth. The dealer wasinterested, but wanted photos to confirm Pat's claims regardingtheir condition. So down to the garage we trouped to set upmy "photo studio in a box" (a marvellous little product witha pair of miniature spotlights) and photograph soldiers. Thephotography itself didn't take all that long, but photoshopping(yes, it's now a verb) some 250 photos takes a bit longer! Butthe results are delightful; the knights are SOO cute. Our holiday is bound to be interesting thisyear, as our new kitty has never seen a Christmas tree!So I've decided that I'd better snatch a quick, stay-at-homevacation while I can! Next week, I'm going to shut down thekeyboard (well, I'll check e-mail, but that's all, honest!),stay upstairs (out of my "office"), and do only what I wantto do.
