General Questions and Comments
If you have a comment about our website or newsletter, or a general question about writing, please send it to: Moira Allen, Editor.

Queries and Submissions
We welcome submissions from freelancers around the world. However, as we already have more than 600 articles on the site, please review our Submission Guidelines and Article Index before submitting material.

Advertising
We offer several options for advertising on Writing-World.com, including advertising on the website, in the newsletter, and in our "Author's Bookshelf" section. With the exception of the Author's Bookshelf, we only accept ads for products or services relating to writing. Please see our Ad Rates for more details.

Link Requests
We provide links only to sites that are relevant to writing and provide a significant amount of free information for writers. We do not offer links to commercial sites; if you wish to market a product to our readers, we invite you to consider advertising with us. We do not link to author sites or sites that publish stories, poetry, etc. We cannot always respond to link requests. Please send your link info to Moira Allen, Editor.

Newsletter Subscriptions
Writing-World.com offers a free monthly e-mail newsletter; to subscribe or read back issues, visit our Archive. We are not able to manually subscribe or unsubscribe you; please use the easy interface on the newsletter index page. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, please do us the courtesy of unsubbing; please don't mark incoming issues as "spam". Otherwise, the newsletter could be blacklisted by your ISP, which would prevent it from reaching other subscribers who do want to receive it!

Site Corrections
Did you spot an error on our site? We definitely want to hear about missing links and serious problems. And yes, quite often a typo, spelling or grammatical error will escape our notice. If you happen to spot one, please feel free to politely call it to our attention! (If you are inclined to send "flamers" over errors of grammar or punctuation -- as in "by failing to realize that you have omitted a vital comma in your article on such-and-such you are singlehandedly contributing to the decline of civilization as we know it" -- please don't bother; we simply delete this sort of nonsense.) Please be sure to include the URL of the article in which you found the error.

We'd Like to Help, But...
We're sorry, but we cannot help you with any of the following:

  • How to get started. This site offers a wealth of information on how to get started as a writer, so we tend not to answer generic "how do I get started?" questions. (We welcome more specific questions, however!)

  • Finding a publisher. We can't help you find a publisher for your article, story, poem or book. However, you'll find links to lists of publishers in our Guidelines section and our Book Publishers section.

  • Reviewing your material. Please do not send us stories, poems, or articles for review (other than relevant submissions). Instead, check our links section for appropriate Discussion and Critique Groups.
