I went to Waseda the other day to visit Takahashi san - the guy famous for coining the word "cosplay" among many others. Takahashi san is one fo the founding members of Gainax and is a producer/director/editor-in-chief/entreprenuer/fill-in-the-blanks. A really interesting guy who can morph into anything anytime. I'm pulling him into a team of experts for my secret project. *evil grinz*

Had dinner at Legato today. An interesting restaurant with a nice view and great customer service with the human touch. The first surprise was the menu.. if you make a reservation, they will make a menu with your name on it!

Today is another marathon meeting day and I found myself struggling to keep awake when I'm not doing any talking. I can really fall asleep there and then ><

Topic of the day is another second life SNS service called meet-me

I went to Mixi's office today and if Mixi's goal is to get everyone to blog about their office, they are going to extremes to do it. I don't think there is any more fashionable office even for an SNS company of that size. I'm bewildered because the CEO seems to be the opposite of anything LOUD, at least from the outside.

I can understand the Hikkikomori feeling, it's like hibernating in a cave or even like going back to being a foetus in a mother's womb. It feels so comfortable that I'm dreading the idea of going out tomorrow..argh..

Some friends from China are here in Tokyo. We have a dinner date here. They were late so I wait for them with my tea.

Do you guys watch TV?

I stopped a long time ago but I wanna watch TV on my labtop; so I decided to make that happen and that is why ota tv is on akibanana.. but we are too busy with many other things offline now to get hold of contents for ota tv. By chance, I managed to get an anime series that finished airing in Japan for ota tv but the timing is not right for us yet.. so I gave it to the crunchy boys instead. These days everyone is asking me to get anime lisences.. if I do that, who is going to support akibanana? >< everybody needs an akibanana!

Today is one of those days where you felt like you were led by some invisible force to meet some people whom you were destined to meet. I was set to go for a private party for the local IT industry when some friends called me to bring them to a maid cafe. It was kinda early so I thought I could bring them to have dinner somewhere and then head down to the private party which I am a regular at.. and had promised to go to. I brought them to dear stage again, this place is the best for me. I always bring a lot of people to that place and the manager is friendly with me.

Today I was interviewing someone at Akiba and was about to go back when suddenly my friend called.. he's here in Japan.. wants to bring his friend around Akiba.. OK I dunno what's going on but I went to his Japanese branch office, which is just five minutes away from where I was and then I had a thirty minute phone meeting on my mobile phone and suddenly Tom appeared before me and I didn't know what was happening.. they just asked me to bring him around. Like all of a sudden..

the other day we had a great meeting and after that we went drinking till late and for some reason I couldn't sleep well.

Jun and I were at Cure Maid cafe at the time of the incident. I only realised something was wrong when a friend called to make sure we were alive. When we went to the crime scene, the ambulances and fire engines were there already. We didn't feel the severity of it all until we went closer to the main scene. Those people further away were carrying on as though nothing has happened. Nobody knew what happened I guess. At first, we only got information that there was a hit and run accident and then the driver tried to kill more people.

I love Okinawan food. It's close to the kind of food I grew up eating. very tropical.

I had dinner with JUN today. She really likes sweets.. she needs lotsa sugar for energy .. since she is our Akiba HEROIN! hehehe

We ordered dessert before our proper meal so we were quite full before the food came and for the first time, we couldn't finish our food.. actually Jun can't really take spicey food so she didn't eat much this time. Normally she eats a lot. We ordered Almond Tofu and Cream Cheese... disguised as an egg! That's actually an apricot.. and the cheese tastes just as smooth as a half-boiled egg.. yummy~~

I don't know why I am perpetually hungry these days. I must be using my brain too much. And I may be obsessed with food.. perhaps I am a food otaku.

I feel better when I do anything related to food.. eating, cooking or blogging about it.

Unfortunately I don't have much time for it so my meals are always very instant and convenient. All I need is the microwave.

There I go again.. those lonely late night walks to the nearby convenient store.

The staff at the convenient store is my friend.

He understands my cravings..

He knows I am running out of it... that I am visiting him to refuel my engine.
