For the outsiders, the words 'Comiket' and 'dojinshi' probably do not ring any bell, but in Japan it has become a huge phenomenon.

This week I went and dug out a very interesting author I met on the pages of Zettai Reido a while ago and I never quite forgot. She's also been publishing on Hertz, Reijin, Hanaoto, etc. and is still mesmerizing readers with her out-of-this-world style.

The theater date for the Macross Frontier Movie : The False Songstress (劇場版　マクロスＦ　～イツワリノウタヒメ～) has been announced: November 21, 2009. The official website has been updated and we've learned that the movie will be part one of two parts!

First serialized as a web comic on Flex Comix Blood, the love comedy Nyan Koi will be made into an anime, about a high school student who can understand cats!

The Macross Frontier phone radio program started on May 18th. The show is called Macross Ura Ura Deculture and features Konishi Katsuyuki and Sugita Tomokazu. The pair talks about backstage stories behind the scenes of the Macross Frontier series.
