Last week, MaiDreamin's new branch MaiDreamin 2 opened its doors to more dreamy customers. The second branch is not only closer to the station it is more plush and pink than its predecessor, and visually well-designed in many ways. Despite being rather small, the space was maximised with a U-shaped table at the center of the cafe.

Maid cafe and bar MaiDreamin opened in Spring this year just when everyone is predicting the "maid" trend to be falling. This month the critics will be proven wrong again as MaiDreamin opens a second branch within half a year of its debut. Click on to find out what's in store in the second "country of dreams".

The newest maid cafe in Akihabara, MaiDreamin is doing well thanks to a surge of foriegn customers. The owner was so happy with the response that he has translated his menu into English and is currently working on a French one. We did a write up on the cafe when they first opened and it got quite a number of hits.

Though experts may claim Japan's maid boom is starting to fizzle, cafes are still opening, and newcomer MaiDreamin has high hopes for
