Interesting Cosplaying Peeps @ Sakura-Con

Sakura-con in Seattle was my first American anime convention and it really opened my eyes to how passionate American fans can be! It is so different from how we do it in Japan; in fact it is like a big anime carnival with anime to watch, games to play, cosplayers to take pictures of and anime goodies to buy! I would definitely be covention-hopping if I were living there~ Check out some of the interesting people I came across at Sakura-con~

First stop - the panels. I picked the panel on Touhou project where they gave an introduction to the creator and the game. There were also some Touhou cosplayers. (For your information, you can find Touhou Cosplay costumes at Akiba too! Visit Asobit Chara City.. 4th floor I think ^^;)

At the other end is a hall full of vendors where you can satisfy all your cravings! There are anime apparel, accessories, manga, DVD, cosplay costumes and so on. Outside the hall are smaller booths where doujin artists sell their wares. Inside, I spotted this cool doctor~ It would be cool to see powerpuff cosplayers with him!

I was going towards the garden outside and I had to pass by the gaming area with arcade game machines and rooms full of computer game consoles. Coming out from the gaming area, I found some cafe and subway and here is where I spotted this strange ball. I think this is the game where the ball gets bigger and bigger as it rolls and pick up things on the ground.

Look! a (aki)banana!

Teddy bear? Hammer? Hilarious one ^^

I found my way to the open area outside the convention hall and met some beefy boys and busty gals

This was my favourite pair!

He even talks like the real thing!

After some distractions I'm finally out into the open area. Everyone was in cosplay and they were playing some sort of communal game. I couldn't figure out what it was.

If you look into the event schedule, you will find exact timing and locations for cosplayers of the same title to gather. This is really cool~

It feels like you are seeing clones... are you the 2nd or the 3rd one?

Otaku park

I met some really tall people. The people towards the right look short but they are in fact of relatively normal height.

nice nekomimi

She makes a fiesty one.

I love such cosplays!

I am curious who is inside him.

Hard gay is so funny..

mini hard gay on his crotch is funnier!

Jesus, my man.

This cup noodles cosplay wins the creative award for me ^^

Finally it's late and I'm on my way out of the convention to the hotel but I can't stop snapping pics of interesting peeps. This one is so nostalgic~

Pandada!

ACEN (Anime Central) http://www.acen.org/

I was at the 1st one. In 2008 they had an attendance of 13,800 otaku!!! This year's convention just ended. It would be fun to go back and visit...
