[edit] Randomness

Why does this template include a random picking of countries, plus Antarctica? How a bout merging it with Template:Nationalflags, and perhaps adding links in its header to vexillology and heraldry for reference. =J //Big Adamsky 23:20, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Its a navigational template for the various "List of...." flag articles. At the moment we only have a few countries with such articles, and when any new ones are created they are added here. Hopefully all countires can be listed at some point. Astrotrain 10:21, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fork

The Gallery of flags by design is branching on a different track than any list of national flags, as it incorporates flags of regions, cities, historical political entities, and even parties. Whether this is for good or ill, I wouldn't venture to say, but I can at least see some interest in having a means to compare different flag designs, of whatever significance, that use similar design elements. That said, it seems like sharing a template for lists of national flags with one for the growing number of galleries displaying design elements is less and less useful. Barring any objections, I'll work on making a new template for Flag design galleries in the next week or three. --Dystopos 01:37, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] By country?

I don't think that that sections is well-titled. China, England, Falklands, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Rhodesia, Scotland, the Soviet Republics, and Wales aren't countries. Bastin 13:40, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

The article Country sets forth a more expansive definition of the term than you apparently subscribe to, and under which all of these examples count as countries (though not necessarily nations or states). I think the section is well-titled. --ScottMainwaring 17:36, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alignment

Is anyone else seeing the title "Lists of flags" and "Master list" below it out of alignment?  If so, I'll apply some formatting to "Lists of flags". Thanks, David Kernow (talk) 15:51, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Other Entities

This section has information on cities, states/provinces, etc...as well as terminology for flags. I think this should be split off into 2 sections...Other Entities and Terminology or Flag Vexillology. Leobold1 (talk) 00:34, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
