Lohan Sentenced to 90 Days in Jail

Actress Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in a residential jail program, followed by 90 days at an in-patient rehab facility, a formal probation period, and mandatory drug testing after a Beverly Hills judge found her guilty of violating her probation.

A tearful Lohan told Judge Marsha N. Revel that she was not taking the Right On probation program "as a joke," after the judge ruled she had violated her probation, which required weekly attendance at alcohol education classes.

"As far as I knew, I was being compliant with my program," she said. "When I would ask to leave town, they would give me permission to leave town. I wasn't expecting any special treatment, other than understanding that I have to provide for myself, and my schedule is very different."

However, Revel went through a laundry list of violations showing Lohan's several arrests and incidents involving driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, while her defense attorney told the court that Lohan was on track to finish her program.

Revel also ruled that she could only remove her SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring) bracelet upon her scheduled jail surrender on July 20 at 8:30 a.m. She has also been ordered not to drive any motor vehicle with any traces of alcohol in her blood. The legal maximum limit in California is .08% blood alcohol concentration to operate a vehicle.

@Javier... Please, her same sex relationship with that girl had nothing to do with her getting 90 days. I thought 90 days was a rather light sentence considering everything she has done. Most people would have probably gotten more jail time and I think her inpatient rehab should be considerably longer. Next time she is in trouble, and I have no doubt that there will be a next time, she should get much longer. She had so much promise and she has thrown it away, what a horrible example to set for young girls today. She really needs to be made an example of.

Normally people in her situation only get a month in jail. I think because of her same-sex relationship with Samatha Ronson and her celebrity the judge gave her a harsh sentence. I hope she recovers and lives a clean life.

probably the best thing that could happen to her, maybe it'll be the wake up she needs and she'll get a grip before she ends up dead.

Sad to say, I don't know who Lindsay Lohan is or why I should be interested in this story. Reading this, it appears that she's had many "second chances". Ho-hum.

Here in Texas, a breathalizer contraption is attached to the car ignition and when you hear a beep, you have 10 seconds to blow into the breathalizer. Otherwise, the engine is turned off. works here should work there. Only 90 days. GIve her a couple of years.
