I work at Reflexive as a Game Director making casual games (you know that type of game that the industry loves to rant about).
Of course I'm given to ranting myself, especially in regards to the animal known as the games industry (we'll leave off the word 'dumb' when describing the animal because it only sometimes applies).
I like games. I think that is the core of why I say anything. I play games, I enjoy them, and I care about our industry. I'm also getting older all the time, that's probably a factor as well. I keep looking for games that add meaning to life and am excited whenever the industry or even a developer steps outside of the norm.

@ Alfe: That's my wonder ... @ Alfe: That's my wonder as well. If you replay the game, can you feel like you got a 'different' game, or is it more limited to things like text and side quests The later seems more likely to me, b/c creating a game that really let you go a ... |

Estimate or not, I think ... Estimate or not, I think the graph looks pretty spot-on. For my part I feel sorry for the many great Wii games that aren't getting played. This year has been particularly good for the console in terms of games, but great games from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom to Nintendo's own SMG2 ... |

As a consumer, I don't ... As a consumer, I don't understand charging me extra to get a version for a platform I don't own. You wouldn't make me pay more for the PSP version of a game b/c it also included the same game for the PS3 would you though notably the PS3 is MUCH ... |

The point I was making ... The point I was making was that per the charts, there was increased software sales on two platforms, and less than a 2 decline on the third. For May 2009-2010 y/y compared to May 2008-2009 X360 4 PS3 9 Wii - 1 Overall, that means an increase of 12 million ... |

why are we content to ... why are we content to say music games were a fad, but not the wii. it is so obviously a trend that burnt itself out. I'm not sure to all of the answers, but I think the reason for the time being is that the Wii keeps selling. As long ... |
