Energy & Commerce Committee Members Visit Gulf Coast to Investigate Oil Spill |

Today, Energy & Commerce Subcommittee Chairman Ed Markey will lead a bi-partisan delegation of Committee members to the Gulf of Mexico to investigate the massive oil spill threatening the Gulf coast region. The delegation will conduct a fly-over of the oil spill with experts from the U.S. Geological Service and the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration and will be briefed at the Unified Command Center in Robert, La. by the Coast Guard, the Department of Interior, and others. They will meet with local officials, members of the response teams, and Gulf residents and businesses who have been affected by the spill. The Members of the congressional delegation include: Rep.
