Orly Airport
There are four airports serving Paris; two large commercial airports (Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, and Orly) and
two smaller ones for private jets and discount flights (Le Bourget, and Beauvais Tille). You will most likely be flying into or out of
Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, or Orly.
Just A Bit of History
Built in 1919, Le Bourget was
the only airport of Paris for many years. It is most famous as the landing spot of
Charles Lindbergh's historic 1927 transatlantic flight in "The Spirit of St. Louis".
Le Bourget continues to be used by private business jets, and discount airlines.
In odd years it hosts the
Paris Airshow.
Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport
23 kilometres northeast of Paris near the village of Roissy-en-France is
Charles de Gaulle airport. The largest airport serving Paris, it has
two terminals, the second of which is split into terminals 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D.
Most international flights to Paris arrive and depart from Roissy-CGD (as it is known).
You can find out from which terminal your flight departs
here. Unfortunately as you drive to Roissy-CDG there is no signage listing airlines and their associated
terminals. Please use the link above.
