1. DPW blames Libya for rash of sinkholes
When the first sinkhole opened up on the corner of North and Oakland Avenues last year, city officials were quick to blame the cavity on an act of nature. When the second sinkhole dropped through the Humboldt Avenue Bridge last month, DPW engineers knew it was no coincidence.

2. Milwaukee named "most segregated"
Yesterday, an article on Salon.com named Milwaukee the most segregated city (of at least 500,000 people) in the country. We've heard this before, and we'll hear it again. What can we do to change this?
3. Who knew? DASANI uses Milwaukee water
Just when I thought I knew everything about Milwaukee, I stumbled upon a fun fact the other day. DASANI, the bottled water produced by Coca-Cola, uses good old Milwaukee tap water for the Midwest distribution of its product.
4. The Milwaukee bucket list
Because of the nature of my job, I've had the opportunity to experience Milwaukee in a way that not everyone else has. But that's not to say I've completely crossed everything off my Milwaukee "bucket list." Before I go to that great cheese castle in the sky, I've got more than a few experiences I must try.
5. Why can't we skate on the lagoon?
I paddle boated a couple of times on the McKinley Marina lagoon in the summertime, but today I wondered why I can't skate on it in winter. Any idea?
6. Don't forget: spring forward
Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday at 2 a.m.

7. Do you have a disaster plan?
Every time I hear of a natural disaster, like yesterday's earthquake in Japan, I think to myself, I should have emergency plan.
8. Return of the marshmallow cars
Are you guilty of driving around in a marshmallow car?
9. Holiday decorations, you're done!
Not that you asked, but one of my few pet peeves is when people leave up their holiday decorations too long.
10. Raise some "Awear"-ness with the Sojourner Family Peace Center
The Sojourner Family Peace Center and Milwaukee R&B; artist Cincere are joining forces to break the cycle of domestic violence with a spin down the runway.
11. Three area water projects need your help
Help Milwaukee's River Revitalization Foundation, Boerner Botanical Gardens and Discovery World expand their water projects and innovation by voting for them today. Here's how.
12. "Drunkorexia"
I'm no drunkorexic, but I can relate to this. Occasionally, I have been offered a dessert or a second slice of pizza and I said, only half jokingly, "Thanks, but I am saving my caloric intake for beer."
13. Record warmth on the way?
Thursday's high temperatures will be in the 50s. We'll likely threaten the record which is 55 degrees set in 1981. Despite the fact that it will be rather cloudy and perhaps rainy, we have a real shot at re-writing the record book that day.
14. What comes after your period?
When did double-spacing go the way of the telephone modem, land line phones and the Ford Edsel?
15. Koplien predicts weekend warmup, then long cold snap
You would think that after a blizzard, complete with thunder, lightning and umpteen inches of snow, Mother Nature might back off a little. Nope. Following a quick visit to high temperatures near 30 this weekend, we're headed back to bone-chilling cold for next week.

16. Kenneth Cole's Twitter misstep
On Thursday, the people at Kenneth Cole offered a tweet. Steve Kabelowsky reacts.
17. Jagler, not the in U.K., gets a serving of Spam
The first call came at 7 a.m. from a friend who happens to be a Milwaukee television news anchor. "Steve, are you OK? I received an e-mail saying something terrible has happened to you?" Confused, the best I could mutter was, "Wha?" My friend then explained that he had received an e-mail that appeared to be from me. On the subject line of the e-mail was the phrase "My Predicament."

18. Why I love blizzards
Other than a few inconveniences, blizzards are a lot of fun -- at least for the first few. Here's what I love about them most.

19. Trapped and snowbound by neighbors' indifference
Giant blizzards are fun, and I found out the hard way a few years ago that sometimes you can't just drive through them. This time around, though, I got up early and spent 90 minutes snowblowing. Too bad it doesn't really matter.

20. Beat the snow by bicycle
I pulled my ride out of the snowbank, shook it off and pushed it to the street. I was going to ride my bike to work no matter what!
21. Scenes from Blizzardwest
In case you haven't seen enough photos of snow and ice today, here are a bunch more that were taken in Riverwest.
22. Wednesday's post blizzard forecast
The blizzard Tuesday night certainly lived up to expectations, huh? Areas from Milwaukee and Waukesha to south of the Illinois border picked up 1 to 2 feet of snow. Here's the forecast for the rest of the day.
23. Weather cancellations
Here is a list, which will be continually updated, so please check back, of events canceled or postponed due to the weather.
24. Your morning blizzard update
If you have hatches, the time has come to batten them down. (Whatever that means.) A Blizzard Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service from Tuesday afternoon through noon on Wednesday.
25. Housing update: Tosa welcomes The Enclave, etc.
A high-end Wauwatosa apartment complex -- called The Enclave -- will soon be in the works. The $24 million project, which received support from the Federal Housing Administration's HUD program, will offer upscale rental opportunities in Tosa.
