Programme of Entrepreneurship culture promotion - Principality of Asturias - Spain 

The General Objective of the Programme stated in the ACEBA Agreement, is to improve entrepreneurship in Asturias, articulated in three fundamental core strategies:

• Promotion of enterprise culture
• Programme for the promotion and consolidation of self employment 
• Plan for the dissemination and communication of enterprise culture

The specific objectives of this new period, and from which the courses of action are defined, promote the creation and consolidation of structures and methodologies of support for entrepreneurs, and are planned for the various phases or stages of the entrepreneur pathway:

• Inform, sensitise and motivate the whole of Asturian society about entrepreneurial activity in its three dimensions: as a businessman or woman, as an intra-entrepreneur or as a social entrepreneur.
• Promote the dissemination of the programme, especially influencing the channels, mediums and models to use, achieving a positive and widespread impact among potential target groups, and reaching economic sectors, segments of population and areas that have had greatest difficulty until now.
• Involve the educational community (students, teachers and management, mothers and fathers) and other social structures: business, youth and women's associations, foundations, professionals associations, etc in promoting enterprise culture, through their interaction with the public support network for entrepreneurship
• Increase the level of implementation of the education chain in Asturias, consolidating some programmes through their inclusion in the Principality of Asturias Education System, and undergoing others that encourage its continuous adaptation to new social and economic challenges in the region
• Strengthen support of people interested in developing an entrepreneurial project , defining complete training programmes and protocols, advice and on-going support in the development of the business project
• Strengthen the network of Business Centres, intensifying their work and coordinate their connection with local organisations as foremost experts of the regions potential
• Support entrepreneurs through measures to promote self-employment and consolidation of their business projects, providing technical and financial resources and support with work-family balance
• Improve and strengthen support for the consolidation of start-up companies in Asturias, to improve their competitiveness and thus, help them stay in the market, growing, generating more employment and wealth, and bringing about a reduction in the rates of business mortality
• Strengthen the recognition of the entrepreneurs and self employed workforce, helping promote business associations and visibilising entrepreneurs and the self-employed in society
