Programme of Entrepreneurship culture promotion - Principality of Asturias - Spain

Your project, our commitment

From the very begginning, from the moment your idea is born.

You are seeing:

3. Set Up

The development of the business idea culminates with the start up of the business. In order to achieve that, it is important to have a clear idea of the legal structure it is going to have, the necessary proceedings that have o be carried out to set up a new business, the bodies that guide you through this process as well as the availability of different aids.

What legal structure is of interest?

Depending on the type of activity the business carries out, the number of partners, and the levels of investment and risk, it is important to set up the company under one legal structure or another. Each one has its advantages, and its important to know what the obligations and responsibilities are that we commit ourselves to as businessmen/women.

What is the procedure for setting up a business?

Setting up a business requires different procedures depending on the chosen legal status:

Individuals (Individual Businessman or woman="Self-employed", Co-ownership or Civil Society Companies)

Legal entities (Trading companies and Social Economy Enterprises)

  • 1.- Constitution of the company and legal personality acquisition

  • 2.- Company start up

Simplification of the Procedure

In order to make the process of setting up a business easier, a number of services have been designed that simplify and shorten the process:

One-Stop Corporate Shops

The "Ventanilla Única Empresarial" (One- Stop Corporate Shop) is a service to support the setting up of new enterprises, which brings together in one place the procedures of various government offices ,and also provides a business advisory service.
In Asturias, the service is provided in the Chamber of Commerce in Oviedo, and its respective local offices or Satellite Chambers.

Similarly the virtual portal One-Stop Corporate Shops, provides various services: general information about setting up a business, a personalised tutoring guidance tool for the procedures of business projects, as well as an individualised monitoring system of the procedures carried out when starting up a business.

Business set-up through telematic media (computer networks):PAIT Network

In the Enterprise Creation Advisory And Initiation Points (PAIT) entrepreneurs are informed about procedures they have to carry out to constitute and set up a business, "Sociedad Limitada de Nueva Empresa"(SLNE)/New Enterprise Limited Companies or "Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada" (SL)/Limited Liability Companies by telematic means, in this way sparing journeys and generating substantial time and cost savings.

Through the CIRCE, portal, the Directorate General of SME's of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, offers entrepreneurs the possibility of carrying out set up procedures.

What aid can I apply for?

The company's first steps and set up are significantly determined by funding. In Asturias different financial aids exist, both subsidies and direct aids as well as forms of finance and financial companies that support entrepreneurs in different moments on their business pathway: creation, growth, consolidation, etc.
