British student Meredith Kercher was murdered on Nov. 1, 2007 in Perugia, Italy. The 21-year-old woman's throat had been cut, and police say she also had been sexually assaulted. Kercher lived with Amanda Knox, a student from Seattle who attended the University of Washington, as well as two other female roommates.
