Philly Way is on its way to Brady Street

Brady Street is getting another food option as Philly Way will open at 1330 E. Brady St., a vacant space most recently occupied by Miss Groove, a women's clothing store.

Owner Dave London says he hopes to be open by the second or third week of May.

The no-frills, authentic Philly cheese steak joint opened its first location in Walker's Point in 2002.

Rocket Baby takes off

This week marks the soft opening of Geoff`s newest venture, the Rocket Baby Bakery, located at 6822 W. North Ave. This labor of love pulls together Geoff`s love for bread with his desire to start his own business.

Great Lakes' tasting room

The Great Lakes Distillery tasting room has opened at 616 W. Virginia, at the corner of 6th and Virginia, adjacent to the distillery, in Walker`s Point. The tasting room contains a bar (lined with slats from oak barrels), a shop selling Rehorst spirits, along with glassware, T-shirts and more, and a pair of windows that look down into the distillery below.
