Transfer from the old wiki 2006/2007

In December 2006, an effort was made to finally transfer all the content from the old WikiTikiTavi based wiki to this new mediawiki powered site. The old wiki will still be available for some time in order to provide older versions of articles and information about who wrote them. Every page has been copied and stored under the same name, changing its markup tags to the new syntax. If an article had to be renamed, its old name redirected to the new one, so old links from google and forums would continue to work.

Articles' titles in the old wiki used to be SmashedTogetherWords because links have been recognized that way. In the mediawiki syntax, you have to declare them anyway, so please use More readable titles. However, old articles are kept under their old names to save time.

Users from the old wiki

The new wiki software provides a nice user system and a proper name space for the user sites. Because the old wiki didn't, user pages where stored like normel pages, ie. MarkConstable. When the wiki was transfered, the user pages where moved to the new namespace redirecting the old page to the new one, ie. User:MarkConstable. These users are not registered in the new user system yet.

If you were using the old wiki, please register on the new one with any user name you want, copy the content from your old user page to your new one or rewrite it, creating a redirect from one to the other. If you wish to preserve your old user name, just register with that name. You don't have to move user pages in that case.

To find out your name from the old wiki, you may want to look at the list of current user pages in the list of all pages (then choose User namespace).
