For the sixth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2012."

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2012. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

As October comes to an end, so does Dining Month here at OnMilwaukee.com.

All month long we've revealed the restaurants you've voted best of the best in 50 categories that included Best Comfort Food, Best Brunch, Best Pizza and others. But, have you ever wondered how they all stack up against each other?

We did, and so we decided to crunch the numbers on all – yes, all – of your votes to compile the first-ever readers' Top 100 list.

We added up every vote each restaurant received in our survey, then averaged out the totals by the number of categories a restaurant was in to determine the overall scores.

But, note that fewer people voted in the Best French category than for Best Burger, for example, and therefore you can see how burger places might score better than a creperie. It's not a perfect system, but it's a good way to get a sense of which restaurants inspired the most votes.
