Connections

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade is partnering with Business New Zealand to strengthen our links with the business and civic communities outside Wellington.

Connections is a programme in which our diplomats get to know and become known in New Zealand towns and communities. Each community participating in the programme has easy access to MFAT through a close relationship with one staff member, who will remain connected to that community throughout their career.

This programme provides towns with the opportunity to get to know more about MFAT and what it does. We are interested in hearing about your international experiences to help us to better represent New Zealand’s interests offshore and to improve international connections.
