The Domes, and other Milwaukee landmarks, are turning blue this April for Autism Awareness.

Milwaukee landmarks go blue for World Autism Awareness Day

Milwaukee landmarks will add a little color throughout April in support of World Autism Awareness Day and Autism Awareness Month.

Joining in Autism Speaks' "Light It Up Blue" initiative, the Pettit National Ice Center, Marquette Interchange, Mitchell Park Domes and others have pledged to go blue and help "shine a light on autism awareness" Sunday, April 1 and Monday, April 2.

The City of Milwaukee Court of Honor, Marquette Interchange and Mitchell Park Domes will be lit from dawn until dusk Sunday and Monday. The City of West Allis City Hall will join in for World Autism Awareness Day April 2, and Miller Park will light it up that evening from 8 p.m. to midnight. The Pettit National Ice Center will be lit through the entire month of April.

More information on the "Light It Up Blue" campaign and World Autism Awareness Day can be found at AutismSpeaks.org.
