Esquire rates Bryant's the best bar in the country
Esquire seems to have fallen in love with Milwaukee's own Bryant's Cocktail Lounge, 1579 S 9th St. They first announced that the hot spot would be featured – along with three other Milwaukee locales – on an hour-long special called "Best Bars in America" on Dec. 5 on Esquire Network. Now, they've rated Bryant's the best bar in the country with a top rating of 90 percent.
While author David Wondrich noted that the bar might also hold the record as the darkest bar in the nation, he seemed impressed by the old-school style and decor, as well as its tasty brandy Old Fashioneds.
Five other Milwaukee bars made Esquire's list, including Old German Beer Hall, Nomad World Pub, Milwaukee Ale House, Lakefront Brewery and Koz's Mini Bowl.
For a look at the complete list, click here. It is a dynamic rating that could rise and fall based upon reader votes, but when first presented Bryant's was tops. Cheers, Milwaukee.

Doesn't your link to the Esquire story show Koz's as the #1 bar?
