Since breaking the States with her smash hit "Candy", Mandy Moore's been kept busy with a schedule that included supporting 'N Sync and The Backstreet Boys on last year's US tours. As if that didn't keep her on her toes, she's also had her own MTV show to slot in, as well as appearances in upcoming Disney feature, The Princess Diaries and independent movie, Magic Al and the Mind Factory.
Mandy's been in the studio putting the finishing touches to her new album! It is likely to be released in June of this year. The first single will probably be "In My Pocket." We'll keep you up to date with new audio, song titles, footage from the studio, and more, so check back soon.
Mandy has just confirmed her first starring role in a new film, "A Walk to Remember." The movie is a small-town romance feature set in North Carolina that is directed by Adam Shankman (who just directed J.Lo in "The Wedding Planner") and co-stars Shane West ("Whatever It Takes"). Based on the 1999 Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name, the story follows a jaded, aimless high school senior (West) who falls in love with a guileless young woman (Moore) whom he and his friends once scorned before learning that she is dying.
It might have gone a bit quiet on the Mandy Moore front of late, but the teenstress has been waaay busy in the movies! Look out for her in the upcoming Disney feature The Princess Diaries and the indie feature Magic Al and the Mind Factory.
She’s also in negotiations to star in a romantic feature called A Walk to Remember, which is to be directed by Adam Shankman, who’s just helped J.Lo to the top of the US Box Office with The Wedding Planner. Shooting kicks off in April in North Carolina.
