What plugins do I need to use virginradio.co.uk?

To listen to audio, watch videos, or do other stuff on the Virgin Radio website, you might need to download some free software. Here's where to find it - just hit the button next to the software that you want. All this software is available for Windows or Mac machines.
Real Player
Much of our content on the site is in Real format. We use Real Player because it automatically adapts to the speed of your content - so if you're at work with a fast connection, our videos almost look as good as TV, and our audio is almost CD quality.

Windows Media Player
We recommend the use of Windows Media Player when listening to us online - because you get all kinds of other information when listening.

Quicktime
You can also listen to us in Quicktime format, though we don't generally encode our archives in this format. Our Quicktime feed is fed a different way than our Windows and Real audio feed, so it might be worth a try if you're having problems connecting.

Winamp
Winamp's a free MP3 player, which we use in the office. Shortly, you'll be able to hear Virgin Radio streamed in MP3 too, which Winamp copes with just fine (quite apart from playing your MP3 collection). We like it, so here's a download linkfor it.

Flash
This isn't an audio program, more a program which'll help you enjoy the more interactive parts of the site, like Pete 'n' Geoff.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
We develop our site using Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape 4.7 and Netscape 6. We regularly check it using Opera and those wierd things on BT payphones. The vast majority of our users use Microsoft Internet Explorer, though, and we recommend that you download it (even just so that if you ever run into problems on any other site you'll be able to use it).
