Midentity Limited, as a provider
of personal identity management services, understands
the importance of protecting the privacy of its customers.
We believe this is of the highest importance to them,
and therefore to us. We are committed to upholding the
highest standards of the control and management of customers
personal data and complying with appropriate data protection
and privacy laws.
Sharing of Information
We will only share our customers' personal information
with other people and organisations in two circumstances:
- If they specifically request us to do so in conjunction
with the services provided by Midentity.
- If instructed to do so by a court order or by request
from an appropriate legal authority.
Midentity will not use or share our customers' personal
information without their prior consent in a manner
that differs from that described in this Privacy Statement.
Midentity will not sell or rent their personal
information to third parties.
We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1986
and we comply with the Independent Committee for the
Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information Services

Access
Access to our customers personal data is restricted
to those Midentity employees and those working on behalf
of Midentity whose specific business purpose is to manage
our customers' data on their behalf as part of our service
(eg database administrator or customer service representatives).
Cookie and Service Usage
A cookie is a piece of data stored locally on our customers'
computer and contains information about their activities
on our website. We use cookies to track users' progress
through our services, allowing us to improve the functionality
available to our users. The information on a cookie
is not linked to any personally identifiable information
they submit to our site.
We collect data about the usage of our services by
our customers in order to continually improve our content,
products and services that are available to them. This
information will be used in aggregate and at no point
will an individual or their data be identifiable uniquely.
Temporary Cookies
When our customers register with any of the Midentity
services, we use a temporary cookie, to identitfy who
they are. These cookies expire as soon as our customers
close their browser window and/or after a period of
20 minutes. We do not use this cookie to collect any
information about our customers.
Communications
Please be aware that communications over the Internet,
such as emails/webmails, are not secure unless they
have been encrypted. Communications may be routed through
a number of countries before being delivered - this
is the nature of the World Wide Web/Internet. Midentity
cannot accept responsibility for any unauthorised access
or loss of personal information that is beyond our control.
Our customers' responsibilities
They are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality
of their password and account information and for all
activities that occur in their accounts. If they fear
that they have suffered from unauthorised use of their
account, it is their responsibility to notify Midentity
immediately in order to continue to protect their
privacy and the secure management of their data. Midentity
is not responsible for any loss that they may incur
as a result of any unauthorised person using their account
or your password.
