Leadership: A Tale of Two Presidents

Today's volunteers are not like those of the past. They are employed outside the home, and they may or may not have children in the organization. Now not every Girl Scout adult works directly with girls. The people who sit on the board of directors of a local Girl Scout council bring corporate skills in human resources, organizational development, finance, and fund development to support its ability to operate effectively. In addition, they are the important links between the council and community leaders.

To find out more about the role of council presidents in the organization, the Just for Volunteers manager met with two of them — Suong Willson and Deidra Edwards.
