MARCHING GROUPS
The best example of this kind of group would have to be the first one, the Pride Squad. When it first appeared, it was unique: now we would like to see more numbers of highly co-ordinated marching or dancing groups. Marching group is essentially satirical in the finest tradition of high camp. The process is still evolving, as we would like to see groups formed in reaction to the ‘glitzy and frivolous’ standards established by the Pride Squad. A dancing group does not have to be aerobic in style, military in information, or without a political message. Your routine should be flexible enough to enable you to keep up with the changes in the speed of the parade. Lagging behind makes gaps. REQUIREMENTS A music mix (a loop of under 2 mins)

How can I get involved/participate A squad of guys and girls are needed for THE PRIDE SQUAD 2003. We are currently looking for a sponsor. Rehearsals will be on a Sunday afternoon between 2 and 4 p.m.. You do not need to be a professional dancer, but have basic rhythm, enjoys dancing, and want to take part in Gay Pride 2003. The only other requirement is to be somewhat attractive as the clothes which are being made are quite revealing, so a good body or lean body for both guys and girls is quite essential. If anyone is interested please contact Clinton on 0823306434 as soon as possible. The bigger the squad the better, so as many people as possible will be great. If anyone is interested they can e-mail Clinton me directly on cshalkoff@yahoo.co.uk.
