Production of Scriptures for missions has become an important aspect of our total ministry. For a long time, we had wanted our Hephzibah girls to somehow be involved in missions; but how to do so in our unique ministry with our security needs was a seemingly insurmountable problem.
Production of John/Romans and New Testaments was a God given answer for us. We receive completely printed Scriptures from a roll press called "signatures." The Scripture signatures must be collated (put in chronological order). This is labor intensive work which is ideally suited for our many hands at Hephzibah.
Covers must be printed for these signatures which is done by Pastor Don Williams in our print shop. The covers for the John/Romans must be folded; again our Hephzibah girls are utilized. Then covers and signatures must be put together. The John/Romans scripture portions must be stapled and trimmed which is done in the Scripture barn with a Rossback stitcher and trimmer.
The assembled New Testament signatures are run through a perfect glue binder where they are glue bound with a cover and ready to be trimmed in the print shop. Since 1993, tens of thousands of John/Romans and New Testaments in various languages have been completed in our Scripture ministry and sent out around the world. Each completed John/Romans costs around 10 cents and each completed New Testament costs 50 cents.
We would encourage individuals, churches, Sunday School classes, or any other group to consider this project as a way to get Scriptures to the foreign field, and at the same time, provide a way for our students at Hephzibah House to be involved in missions. Please be sure to designate your gifts to: SCRIPTURE MINISTRY.
All money received for this purpose goes 100% into Scriptures.
