Bartram Statue Fund

Thanks to fans' donations a statue was constructed of Addicks legend Sam Bartram on the day of the club's 100th birthday - Thursday, June 9th, 2005 - at The Valley.
Here's how the idea was first publicised.

Fans can now start to make their own contribution towards the club's 2004/05 centenary season, by making a donation towards the planned statue of Charlton legend Sam Batram.

This image shows how the proposed statue of the legendary Addicks goalkeeper could look like in front of the west stand at The Valley.

The digitally produced picture is based on a miniature of the statue by Blackheath-based sculptor Anthony Hawken and gives an indication of the impact that the statue would have.

Supporters have been handed the chance to help build this tribute to Bartram, who made a club record 623 league and cup appearances throughout his career, which lasted three decades.

Download a donation form, and send it together with your donation to the following address:

CENTENARY, CHARLTON ATHLETIC FC, THE VALLEY, FLOYD ROAD, LONDON SE7 8BL
