Teams are now being added to the rosters in the series sections on this website. Photos will be added as they become available. No team will be added to the rosters on the website until a completed registration form is received by JP Associates.

SEASON TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE

Season tickets are now being made available for both the grandstand and pit side.

Grandstand season tickets are priced at $200, Pit season prices are priced at $500.

This brings the pit admission back to $20 per event or less.

Season tickets may be used a total of 26 times, not necessarily once per event.

Example: If you wish to bring a party and use up a number of times at one event,

that is permissible. Contact John E. Davis for season tickets.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Due to the rising costs of insurance at Corbin Speedway, we are

forced to make some adjustments in prices for 2008.

Pit passes in 2008 will be priced at $25 each. Purses have been

adjusted to offset some of this increase.

Number registrations at $25 each will still be required, with the

price remaining the same.

Parking places may be reserved for 2008 at no charge

by contacting John Davis.

All other prices will remain the same.

OKAY FOLKS, I need some help on this one. Found this photo of Bub King on a website. I've got the man's NASCAR record. He ran in five different years, and his last NASCAR race was the 1954 event at Corbin Speedway. I need to talk to someone who can give me more information on him. This photo was obviously taken on the beach at Daytona.

Special Promotion...

The London Aaron's store had a raffle around Christmas time, and the prize was a life-size

(5 feet tall) Lucky Dog. My friends who drive me to the track put my name in the barrel, and

guess who won? My wife says there's no room for it in the trailer, and she's right. As a matter

of fact, he's standing in the door to my closet, blocking access.

First, we're going to bring Lucky to the speedway and let kids get their picture taken with him

for a nominal fee, then we're going to sell raffle tickets on him for $1 each, 6 for $5,

and the proceeds will go to the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society.

We'll give it away at the Relay for Life benefit race.

Got to get him out of the house. The cat used to love to hide in the closet, and now she

won't go near it. She'd never seen a dog this size.

2008 TIRE SPECIFICATIONS

LATE MODEL

Must run 1132 tires on right side. May run 1132, 1322, or 2402 tires on left side.

May purchase four (4) tires per month, beginning in March.

SPORTSMAN & SUPERTRUCK

Must run 1132 tires on right side. May run 1132, 2402, 2372, 2373, or 2376

on left side. May purchase four (4) tires per month, beginning in March.

PURE STREETS & SLAMMER

Must run 1132 white letter scuffs on right side. May run 1132, 2402, 2372, 2373, 2376, or

1322 white letter scuffs on left side.

VINTAGE

Must use 10-inch wide tires.

CHEVETTE

Must use Goodyear 8-inch track tires.

MINI-SLAMMER

Must run street legal DOT tires.

NOTE

Yellow letter scuffs will be available for LEFT REAR USE ONLY

in Sportsman, Supertruck, Pure Street, and Vintage divisions.

Yellow letter tires must be stamped and will be CLOSELY monitored.

DEPTH LIMIT

Any scuff tire reading 5/32" or more in tread depth before or after

a race will be deemed illegal.

TIRE PRICES

Goodyear 10-inch stickers - $80 each, $300 per set.

Goodyear 100-inch scuffs - $20 each, $60 per set

Goodyear 8-inch stickers (Chevettes) - $60 each, $220 per set.
