PrimeStats -- Perl script that reports on PrimeNet Top Producers - 11K

PrimeStats, a perl script that interogates the top producers table at: http://mersenne.org/ips/topproducers.shtml, after you've saved it to disk, it will give you a report on participants as specified by yourself in a seperate data file. The script will also give you a detailed report of the future prospects of one user ID that you supply to the script via the command line, this detailed report tells you how many people are in front of the user but going slower and how many people behind but going faster and gives you estimates of when the user will catch the pack in front and when the chasing pack will catch up etc.

Have a look at a sample report. Before running the script please read "primestats.txt" which you will find in the tarfile.

NewsStats -- Perl script that generates statistics for a local news spool - 12K

NewsStats is a perl script that generates a report of statistics of a local news spool in the slrnpull format. It now includes date analysis (which doesn't work on usenet but that will come later). In order for the date analysis section to work you'll need the Date::Calc module from CPAN.

You can chose how many massages a group should have before it is checked, how many senders/posters to list on the report under each group, how many subjects/threads to list under each group. You can also have a server wide table of sender/poster stats. There is the capability to turn group reporting off/on and server wide reporting off/on.

You can point to a different news spool and have a different output file name. View some Sample Output (150K), taken from a spool holding groups from the POV-Ray news server. The only documentation is in the script itself, and the bits that you would want to change are clearly marked near the top of the script.
