British American Football offers students four programmes for national and international representation. Not all programmes operate each season.
- The MVP Programme
This programme is open to athletes of any nationality competing at one of our member institutions. At present the MVP Game is staged at the end of the season and sees a team representing the two conferences in the north and one representing the two conferences in the south. The BUAFL is looking to align this programme with the Home Nations programmes run by other BUCS sports. - The British University Invaders*
This programme is open to any nationality of athlete so long as they are studying at a university in this country. The Invaders will play international representative teams both at home and abroad. - The GB Student Lions
This programme is the international programme for all athletes who are UK passport holders and studying at university. The university may be in this country or located abroad. - The GB Lions
This programme is the full national team which students can be selected for.
Alongside these programmes, students are also eligible for selection for the international representative teams for Flag football, the non-contact version of the game.
