Prospective undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged
to schedule a visit to Rice to learn more about the Department of Chemistry. Please contact the department in advance of your
trip, as impromptu visits would severely limit our availability to introduce our award-winning department. Admitted graduate students will be invited to special visit programs.

“My visit to the Rice Chemistry
Department was quite different
from my visits to other universities.
The department was very flexible
about when I could visit, so there
were less than 10 prospective
students when I visited. It resulted
in a very informal and enjoyable
experience. I was able to have
dinner and socialize with a small
group of current students, professors
and prospective students, which
was impossible at larger schools.
