Kauehi

Located in the Centre West group, the circular-shaped atoll of Kauehi lies 18 km northwest from Raraka and 33 km southest form Aratika; Fakarava — located on the adjacent chain of atolls — lies 42 km to the southwest. The atoll covers an area of 315 km², of which 15 km² is composed of a few highly elongated and narrow islets on the eastern and western sides. Kauehi extends for 23 km along its northwest to southeast axis and is up to 17 km across.
