  • The Santa Clara County Partnership for School Readiness released the first ever school readiness assessment of kindergarteners, Ready for School? A Report on the Skill Levels of Santa Clara County Kindergarteners. The report assesses readiness in five developmental areas as defined by the National Education Goals Panel (NEGP) in 1995. It was commissioned to establish a benchmark for early childhood education efforts in Santa Clara County to inform teachers, schools, families and community leaders on how well prepared our children are as they enter the K-12 system.
