Visiting the British Library at St Pancras

The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and one of the world's greatest libraries. Our magnificent headquarters at St Pancras, London NW1, is a vibrant public space open seven days a week.

Bag searches

In March this year the British Library introduced compulsory bag searches at the main St Pancras entrance to St Pancras for all visitors entering the building. A search only takes a few seconds and helps to ensure your security.
