LEGAL NORMATIVE
 

Legal normative of the defense system represents a legal basis for its functioning. It is under the Parliament of Serbia's competence to pass laws.

The basis for the functioning of the defense system are laid down in the Constitutional Charter, the Law on the Implementation of the Constitutiaonl Charter, the Defense Strategy and laws and bylaws which regulate the institutions of Serbia regarding the defense of the Republic.

The laws on the defense system and the Armed Forces define the rights and duties of the citizens, of the Armed Forces of Serbia, of the Republic of Serbia's institutions and the institutions of the Republic for responding to challenges, risks and threats to the security system.

These laws define the organization of and the service in the Army.
