WEB EDITORIAL INTERN Yoga Journal, the nation’s leading yoga magazine, seeks an enthusiastic intern to join its Web team. The ideal candidate will be a creative, local student studying journalism or a related field, who possesses strong writing and editing skills, and has previous experience at an online publication. HTML and CSS knowledge is a plus. Scheduling is flexible, but the intern must be available two days a week. A three-month commitment is required. WEB PRODUCTION INTERN Yoga Journal seeks an enthusiastic production intern to join its young and vibrant Web team for the Summer months! This person will work on a small team, in our downtown San Francisco office, in support of a leading magazine and online publication and will come away with skills that will help them to pursue a career path in Web development and/or Web production. The ideal candidate will be web-savvy, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and will have a basic background in HTML and Adobe Photoshop. The ideal candidate will enjoy site metrics and organization as much as he/she enjoys attending yoga class in our office! This position is part-time, 10-15 hours/week and we offer a small stipend at the end of the internship. Responsibilities: Build Web templates, pages, and modules, perform quality assurance for work produced both in-house and by consultants, perform content management maintenance, generally assist Web department and process graphics for the Web. Maintain and update our on-line articles and help produce our newsletters Qualifications: Must have ability to exercise extreme attention to detail and meet deadlines; must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, ImageReady, GoLive or Macromedia Dreamweaver; must be proficient in HTML/CSS; must have experience with slicing, optimizing graphics and exporting for HTML production; must be Mac- and PC-literate.
